Can You Believe A Job Applicant Told His Interviewer To F**k Off?

It might sound like a Nollywood script, but sadly it is not.

Apparently, a man scheduled for a job interview drove into a parking space another man was patiently waiting for. That’s not all. He also told the man to F**k Off.

Well, the man whose parking space was “stolen” turned out to be a recruiting manager and guess who the interviewee was…The guy who insulted him! Woah!

The interviewer’s name is Sean Sparling and he tweeted it.

He later tweeted an update announcing that the guy didn’t get the job

This isn’t the first time i have read about something like this.

February this year, an impatient commuter pushed past HR executive Matt Buckland on a busy train and told him to go 'f*** himself', only to arrive at a job interview later that day to find his fellow passenger was the head of recruitment.

Matt Buckland tweeted about and it was retweeted 15,000 times:

Karma - the guy who pushed past me on the tube and then suggested I go F myself just arrived for his interview...with me

Despite the heated exchange, the job seeker did not recognise his interviewer as soon as he arrived. The interview commenced and the HR executive subtly told the interviewee about the train incident. Hmmn, i can’t imagine how he must have felt. Anyways, the job seeker 'laughed it off' and carried on with the interview for the role of web developer at the firm. But sadly, he was not offered the job as Mr Buckland said he was not right for the role.

"It would be easy to hold something like this over someone in an interview, but for me interviews aren't about that,
By the end of the interview we laughed it off and we're both happy' said Mr Buckland.

Although a “happy ending”, a lesson should be learnt.

In a previous blog post, i talked about Displaying The Right Attitude…Everywhere You Go!

I read somewhere that some companies take inputs from janitors, gate-keepers and front desk staff about applicant's conducts during recruitment exercises.

As a Job Seeker... your Attitude towards your search (and life in general) is everything!

I wish you successful in your job search!
