High Unemployment: Job Seekers March to Alausa In Protest (Photos)

About a 100 men and women with placards all dressed corporately as if they were going for a job interview were seen at Alausa Ikeja last Thursday.

Investigations revealed that they were unemployed graduates marching peacefully to the Lagos State Government’s office in Alausa, Ikeja where they had gone to express their displeasure and raise awareness about the unemployment situation in the state to the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

A laudable initiative it was i agree, but sincerely i won't have been found in that crowd.

Unemployment is a global problem and cannot be solved over night. The sooner we realize this and begin to invest in personal development and getting knowledge and training to be able to resolve current corporate problems the better for us.

For example; no Nigerian university offers new media, social media or digital marketing courses, but every company needs someone to help them leverage the power of social media to reach their potential customer.

There are many gaps to be filled, but few capable hands.

Dear Job Seeker, LEARN and i guarantee that soon you will EARN.
