Can You Believe A Job Applicant Told His Interviewer To F**k Off?

It might sound like a Nollywood script, but sadly it is not.

Apparently, a man scheduled for a job interview drove into a parking space another man was patiently waiting for. That’s not all. He also told the man to F**k Off.

Job Search In Nigeria Is Not A Sprint…It’s A Marathon!

Hello Job Seekers,

have you noticed that recruitment drives in Nigeria have become somewhat longer than usual? Well, Lengthy recruitment exercise is one of the trends peculiar to the Nigerian job market.

By Lengthy recruitment exercise, i mean a recruitment exercise that takes forever.  An example cited in the book - The Job Seekers’ Creed™- is the 2010 Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recruitment drive. The recruitment exercise started in December 2010 and the new recruits were inducted in August 2012; after 1 year and 8 months.

High Unemployment: Job Seekers March to Alausa In Protest (Photos)

About a 100 men and women with placards all dressed corporately as if they were going for a job interview were seen at Alausa Ikeja last Thursday.

Investigations revealed that they were unemployed graduates marching peacefully to the Lagos State Government’s office in Alausa, Ikeja where they had gone to express their displeasure and raise awareness about the unemployment situation in the state to the State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
